I'm Nick Zaggy. I launch and grow consumer brands at Procter & Gamble, and I leverage AI coding agents to build fun software on the side.
I live in Cincinnati and serve part-time as a Field Artillery officer in the Ohio Army National Guard. This page is the long version of my LinkedIn.
Now
- Leading the commercial side of P&G's first-party audience-targeting capability.
- Writing one LinkedIn post a week from November. First up: what a 19-market Super Bowl buy taught me about launching a brand nobody has heard of.
- Most recent side project: Liftoff, which turns a Google TV into an ad-free home screen. Pushed to GitHub in October.
- Preparing for the Field Artillery Basic Officer Leader Course.
Work
Nine years in marketing, seven of them at P&G.
- Senior Brand Manager, Enterprise Audience StrategyProcter & Gamble · June 2026 to now
- Commercial lead for P&G's proprietary audience-targeting capability. I built an internal consultancy that gives categories one point of contact for audience strategy across first-party, retailer and third-party data, wrote the first-party data strategy for North America marketing leadership, and ran activations for Oral Care, Baby Care, Feminine Care, Personal Health Care and Beauty across The Trade Desk, Meta, TikTok and YouTube.
- Senior Brand Manager, Go-to-Market Lead, SpruceP&G Ventures · February 2024 to May 2026
- Spruce is a weed-control brand that launched nationally in 2025 across home improvement, mass and club. I owned launch media, retail and display systems, customer programs, digital commerce and the multi-year growth plan. The 19-market Super Bowl buy delivered more than six billion paid and earned impressions on a seven-figure budget and made several Top 10 Super Bowl ad lists. The brand took double-digit dollar share in its first season while the category grew, and most buyers at the largest US retailer were new to the category. The regional model is now reapplied across P&G.
- Spruce, "Who Let the Dogs Out" with the Baha Men. Super Bowl, February 2025.
- Senior Brand Manager, Innovation & Portfolio, OLAY SkincareProcter & Gamble · November 2022 to February 2024
- Led OLAY's five-launch 2024 innovation bundle through gate reviews to an on-time launch, expected to be one of the brand's biggest launches of the year, and restaged OLAY Eyes from 15 declining SKUs to 6 benefit-led SKUs with one story.
- Senior Brand Manager, DTC Growth & Performance MarketingProcter & Gamble, KeepItAnchored and GEMZ · January 2020 to October 2022
- Owned the P&L and all marketing for two P&G innovation brands on Shopify and Amazon. Orders grew nearly three times year over year with only a marginal rise in cost per purchase, and repeat rate climbed. One of the first P&G brands to run TikTok in-house, and the first to test Google Performance Max.
- Performance Marketing, New EngenSeattle, New York, Charlotte · 2017 to 2019
- Joined a Seattle startup out of business school, opened its New York and Charlotte offices, and ran a team responsible for $20MM in annual client media. Before that, an MBA at Michigan State, a philosophy degree at Western Michigan, and a painting and power-washing business I ran door to door in Jackson, Michigan, from 2009 to 2015.
Building
I build with coding agents, mainly Claude Code and Codex, and I run image, music and sound models on my own hardware. It lets me turn a marketing question into working software in a weekend.
Everything below is public on GitHub under Bureau Obscura, a side studio I run on nights and weekends.
